Singapore
From Sydney we flew into Singapore for a stopover.
To give us a treat, we checked into the Raffles. This is not cheap,
but worth it. They have numerous restaurants, bars, shops, a gym, a
swimming pool, and an impeccable service. Taxis are comparably cheap
and the drivers are very courtious. When we went to the airport for
our trip to Frankfurt, our driver did not known the terminal where
Lufthansa left and drove to a wrong one; he switched off the
taxameter, went to another driver and asked for directions. He did
not switch on the meter again and requested only the amount given on
the display.

Easy in this hotel. We only went to the Long Bar tonight, for a
small salad and a Singapore Sling.
